Julijana Hajdinjak is an award-winning Canadian-Croatian artist whose work actively bridges the worlds of cinematic composition, intricate vocal layering, and high-profile live performance.Raised in Mississauga, Ontario, her deep-rooted classical training is matched only by her extensive performance history—most notably sharing stages with The Rolling Stones and Cirque Du Soleil. This dual identity as both a composer and a session vocalist distinguishes her approach, allowing for a unique expression through her music and a refined, composer-centric perspective on vocal arrangement and harmonic layering.
Throughout her career, Julijana’s compositions have been broadcast on networks like TVO and performed by Canadian ensembles from coast to coast. Holding an Honours Bachelor of Music with distinction (Contemporary Music: Composition) from Wilfrid Laurier University, she has studied under luminaries such as Linda Catlin Smith, Glenn Buhr, Lynda Mieske, Bob Anderson, and Cynthia Kaarto. In 2020, her ability to translate emotion to the screen was recognized with a win for ‘Best Original Score’ for her work on the independent film Red Candle. As an emerging force across multiple facets of the music industry, Julijana’s thorough knowledge of both theory and stagecraft allows her to create transformative works—whether she is scoring for the screen or crafting vocal textures for fellow artists in studio.
